On the 5th of July, 7 Dutch QualityCoast destinations received their new awards in the seaside resort of Renesse in Holland’s southernmost coastal province of Zeeland. As first Dutch Destinations, the municipalities Westvoorne and Goeree-Overflakkee received a Platinum level award. Katwijk, Schouwen-Duiveland and Veere achieved a Gold award. Unable to attend the event, Wassenaar improved their status from Silver to Gold; and the island of Ameland continued their Gold status.

QualityCoast congratulates all award winners with their continuous efforts for becoming and staying a Quality Coastal Destination!

Before the Award ceremony, providers of Green Solutions presented their innovative products and services that can help destinations and their tourism enterprises to even more improve their sustainability performance. As well, the VIAMI initiative was launched – a map that connects green destinations and responsible tourism businesses on a platform geared towards the consumer.
